URA represents 113 of the families affected by the Life Esidimeni tragedy where 144 mentally ill patients lost their lives due to gross incompetence and negligence of the Gauteng government. Despite the arbitration award handed down by Deputy Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke in March 2018, the Gauteng government has still not made payment in full to the families of the patients.
