Cross examination commenting on the Omotoso trial by Ulrich Roux

Ulrich Roux commenting on  the cross examination seen during the Timothy Omotoso trial, as well as the unsuccessful application for Judge Makaula to recuse himself.

During cross examination, defence attorneys must ensure that the questions asked are only for purposes of testing the accuracy of the version put forward by the witness, as well as providing clarity to the court.

Amongst other reasons, a presiding officer in a matter only has to recuse himself if it can be proven that he is acting in a biased or unobjective manner, or if he has a vested personal interest in a matter or a personal relationship with an accused or a witness.
