E-hailing cab services are once again in the spotlight, following a horrific incident in Durban where a pregnant woman has suffered a miscarriage, after having been attacked by an e-hailing cab driver. Ulrich Roux is representing numerous victims who have laid charges of rape, assault, robbery, attempted murder and kidnapping against four accused who used to be employed by Uber South Africa. The criminal matter in the Palm Ridge High Court resumes on 15 January 2020 where the accused will be presenting their case, whilst the civil matter in the JHB High Court is pending after Ulrich Roux & Associates issued summons against Uber on behalf of their clients.
